We are finally starting to feel a little bit of what you could call Spring here in the Springs :) It is not consistent but we will take whatever God wants to give us! Last week we were in the low 70s on Thursday and then on Friday we were in the 20s with the wind chills in the teens and blowing snow...CRAZY! Today (Monday) we are back in the 50s and under a winter weather watch starting tomorrow afternoon into Wednesday afternoon. Yes, you heard me right!
Every chance we can get though we have been spending it outside! Owen received a Jeep Power wheels from his friend Adam...for FREE! Adam had gotten a new one and passed his old one onto Owen. What a friend! Owen LOVES LOVES LOVES it! For the first couple of days, it sat in our living room and Owen "practiced" driving it. What that comes down to is that he was a little scared to put the battery in and have it actually start moving. Well, all that has changed. Yesterday, Neil put the battery in and took the Jeep outside and the rest is history. We are having to PRY Owen out of it! :) He is absolutely adorable driving it and even has the forward and reverse thing down!
Claire had another milestone this Friday that we wish we could have avoided....the dreaded stomach virus! (Insert twilight zone music) We had gone out to run some errands and go to dinner and just as we ordered our meal, she spit up a little, which is abnormal for her, so we thought maybe she choked a little on something. No such luck....she did it again and I could not get her out of the restaurant fast enough before she projectiled all over herself, car seat and floor of the car. POOR GIRL! She was so pitiful :( Luckily, it was pretty mild, and she was done getting sick in about 3 hours. 12 month olds should never get a stomach bug! :(
We cannot believe that Claire is 12 months old! As you can see from the posting above this one, her birthday was a complete success and a lot of fun! We were surrounded by wonderful friends and family and a lot of laughing children! The weather was GORGEOUS and the kids were able to play and eat outside which helped to alleviate some of my stress! :)
We leave in a little over 2 weeks for our long drive across the country! I cannot wait to spend some good, quality time with family! :) Hopefully, since it will be such a long trip, we will get to see EVERYONE!
